MRA launches support for more specialized Clinical Trial Support Centres
As part of the competition, the Medical Research Agency will select projects providing for the establishment and development of Clinical Research Support Centres. The initiative aims to increase the number of both clinical trials and their participants in Poland, as well as to exploit the potential of the clinical research sector to increase the competitiveness of the national economy.
The implementation of this Competition is a continuation of activities in the field of creation and development of Clinical Research Support Centres. In 2020, the Agency for Medical Research has already allocated PLN 100 million to create a network of ten specialized Clinical Research Support Centres, located throughout Poland. The newly created Centres will allow for better coordination of clinical trials in Poland.
The creation of Clinical Research Support Centres will help in the development of medical and health sciences and by increasing the m. in. competitiveness of the Polish market in the field of clinical research will contribute to the innovation of Polish medicine. The amount allocated to the grant of projects selected in the framework of the competition amounts to PLN 50 million. The call for proposals runs from 15 February to 20 April 2021.
The facilities that receive grants will establish the CWBK as a hub for joint services, providing comprehensive and system-based support for both commercial and non-commercial research. This support will m. in: planning, management, accounting or coordinating research. The CWBK infrastructure will include, in particular, a part allowing for outpatient visits, a patient relaxation area, a conference room and rooms for working for sponsor representatives.
Applications may be submitted from 15. 02. 2021 from 12:00 to 20. 04. 2021 until 12:00 only in the form of an electronic document via the ABM system available on the Agency's website https://konkurs.abm.gov.pl/#/
