On 23 August 2019 Poland joined The European Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (ECRIN), which is an international non-profit organisation that supports and connects scientific partners to conduct international clinical (mostly non-commercial) research in Europe.
The Medical Research Agency, which represents Poland in the ECRIN network, has started works on developing a Polish entity, that would be a part of the POLCRIN (Eng. Polish Clinical Research Infrastructure Network).
Professor Tomasz Hryniewiecki, MD, PhD (Director of the National Institute of Cardiology in Warsaw) has been appointed as the national representative for the network. Prof. Marcin Moniuszko, MD, PhD (Vice-Rector for Science and Development, Medical University of Białystok) and prof. Jan Maciej Zaucha, MD, PhD (Head of the Chair and Clinic of Hematology and Transplantology, Medical University of Gdańsk) were appointed as his deputies, Marek Migdał, MD, PhD (Director of the Children's Health Memorial Institute in Warsaw) became the National Coordinator for Pediatric Research.
The works on the POLCRIN website are currently in progress. We hope that soon we will share a link to the website, where you will find not only information about the website itself, but also about planning and implementing of non-commercial clinical trials.
